What's wrong with my Peach tree

Symea
by Symea
the young tree was super healthy then suddenly the newest growth gets brown on the edges then that part peels away. I don't think it's a critter, more like a burning of some sort. Any ideas? It's on all new growth only, not any existing leaves

Sounds like leaf curl fungus. You'll need to spray fungicide after your dormant season trim (prune it a LOT) and again once it flowers. Check out the various fungicides available depending on what your preference is.

Did you spray it in early spring, then again, as it began to bear fruit.? Read up on the care of this Peach tree, and notice the care. Make a list of care, and mark your dates of care, in a notebook. It has to be cared for, several times a yr., with love. Best wishes, J.

Definitely looking like peach leaf curl. It's a fungus infecting new growth. There are natural remedies for it but you will need to wait till the fall when most of the leaves fall. Sulfur based fungicide can help. You can do an internet search. The fruit production will be lessened and what peaches that do grow will be small, however, the flavor will still be delicious. It's a very common problem with peach and nectarine trees and easily remedied.

OK, that is fine, do read up on this, as to what spraying solution to use, also. The peaches are fine, and I trust you will truly use them, either make canned peaches where you can do it yourself, or have someone help you. There is nothing like home canned foods. Best wishes, J.

I didn't have to put any fake surup in mine at all, for all I used was natures., and the 1 t., of preventative for the fruit to change colors. They turned out super, and yours will too. Best wishes, J
