Lilies should be left in the garden
It's best to leave them in the ground.
I never dig up my lily bulbs (I live in Region 6) and they come back larger and stronger each year. I think the root systems develop off-season and helps propagate more flowers.
Hi Evelyn. Some bulbs can survive in the ground through winter. What types of Lillies are they? If they can stand your winter I would leave them in the ground. This gives them a better chance to get bigger and multiply.
Lily bulbs can stay in the ground year round. The only bulbs that I store indoors over the winter are canna. "Tender bulbs" and trailers also should be brought inside during cold weather.
Leaving them in the garden has worked for me for the past 2 years. I cover them with pine stray to keep them warm during the winter months and they have returned the next spring without a problem. Wish you luck.
Store in a paper bag in a cool dry place .

It depends on the Lily and where you live. I am in zone 7b and leave mine in the ground. You can divide the bulbs in the fall.
I always leave mine in the ground.
Leave them in the ground until they crowd each other.
If you live somewhere with severe winters, you must dig and store the bulbs for tender plants like cannas, callas, voodoo lily, etc. I have had good success leaving callas in their pots and storing them in a dark corner of the basement.
Depending on your zone, you can actually leave them in the ground year after year. Most require 6 inches of planting depth if not more so they should be pretty safe. Make sure they are not in a wet soggy area or they will rot
i would take hem out to dry and replant next year
