Hello William & Marilynn;
I personally would wait until either late fall or else early Winter.
You need to insure that your trees do not have any Leaves on them.
I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!
Fall is the best time of year to plant new trees. Generally, late August, September and October are the best months. It all depends, though, on when it actually feels like fall. As long as the hottest days of summer are gone and the ground isn't frozen yet, you can still plant trees.
What is your location so proper information can be given
usually spring or fall
Early spring and early fall seems to help trees settle in and get a good root system going. Mild weather is the key for most transplants
Hi Marilynn, Fall is the best time! Here's a link with lots of info: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/maple/growing-maple-trees.htm
Good luck!
i would transplant mid-late September or in the spring (after last frost)
You want to make sure they are able to get a good foothold before it gets cold. The roots need to start growing before cold weather.
Best to do it in early fall for the root system to get started.
Early fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubbery.
