No. Only Round Up is made to go down into the ground to penetrate into the roots to kill the roots. The best way to prevent anything from continuing to grow is to kill the roots.
Other weed killers that have terms such as organic, green, etc, may kill the portion of the plant/weed that is growing above ground temporarily, but they will not be able to effectively permanently kill the roots.
salt water, newspaper
Round up is not an organic weed killer????Where do you want to kill the weeds?

Heavy black plastic, newspapers, white vinegar, and salt water.
I place newspapers, covered with plastic down when I am planning a Garden.
For weeds, I pour vinegar, or else salt water on them.
I hope that this helps you!!!! Take Care!
Round up is not organic. I use vinegar straight or in combination of epsom salt or boiling water.
Round up is not organic. The suggestions above do work, although I've read that using salt can also cause problems with surrounding plants for years so be careful how much you use.
Good luck!

vinegar, dawn, epson salt in a spray bottle. Kills fast but grows back fast.
