What do you need help with, designing, decor, patio????
I tried to put in a picture but wasn't able to. Anyways need to get rid of grass that is around it. Want to finish it with pea gravel and maybe slate slabs or patio blocks. A seating around it
after setting bricks in place, fill middle with pea gravel, then a little sand to keep everything from shifting, and voila!
Sounds fabulous! I would start by deciding how big an area you want to use for this great project. Mark it out in your yard. If you've already done this, I do like the idea of pea gravel around a fire pit. Gives it a nice finished look. I would probably pull out the grass where the pea gravel goes only because if grass dries and is tucked under the pea gravel, there is still a chance it could catch fire from an ember. Slate slabs or patio blocks surrounding the pit sounds so nice! You already seem to have the best ideas! A friend of mine used logs for seating and it looked really good, not like someone just threw it together. Have fun! Here's a pic:
How far along are you? Do you still need to edge it? Make sure you get the right kind of stone/bricks. Beyond that, consider your style - look for pavers at Home stores. Did out the turf, add sand, set the pavers, sprinkle more sand, brush it in, grab a chair, light your fire, and enjoy!

Hope this picture gets posted
Thank you, just wasn't sure on a patio around it over the loose gravel. As long as I edge it and go down 6 inches and top with gravel. Was hoping that chairs would be level and not sink in the gravel
