HOW TO REPLACE A FLUORESCENT LIGHT FIXTURE - YouTube

When you put the new bulb in, be certain to turn it to lock into position. Try your best to keep your fingers off the bulb portion as body oils can compromise the bulb. If changing the bulb doesn't work, you may have a VERY old fixture that may need a new ballast.
Are you asking how to replace the bulb or the entire fixture, Everett?
There are more than one kind of fluorescent bulbs. Take your old bulb with you to the store!
I would first turn off the switch, then climb on a secure ladder and reaching up, grasp the middle of the bulb and twist very gently to the right and then to the left. . The ends have an opening that will release the bulb when you twist. I would remove both and then replace them exactly like you took them out. Please, please, please handle these bulbs with care. The glass is so thin and it is most dangerous when broken and very hard to clean up. Good Luck!!
