i have a large linen cupboard - holds everything I use - 2 doors - and I'd like to paint the inside of the doors(?) and the walls in the cupboard - just to 'liven' it up.... any suggestions of the ideal colour???.
My towels, sheets etc...all co-ordinate with a sandy beige carpet - and the cupboard is in the hallway, which is polished floorboards - any ideas?? - I'm in a painting frame of mind!!!having just painted my doors in my laundry black, walls white - and they look really good!! even tho my married children suggested it wouldn't work! - yay! - it did....

If you do paint the inside, put a couple drops of real vanilla and mix well. It will pretty much kill the paint smell.

I'd paint with chalk paint so you can make notes of what needs washing or replacing

You have an amazing place to start, gorgeous neutrals. You could paint the insides ANY color and it will look amazing. I agree on going with pastel ice cream colors, there are very IN at the moment. Have you considered a cool toned pale peachy-pink? Another great color would be a subdued and pastel version of tiffany blue.

I would use Glidden Sandy Feet #GLO20 it's beautiful, one coat for the walls, and two coats for the door. Go to one of the large Home Improvement store, Homedepot or Lowe's, and take some samples home and see how they look. The cards with the paint name and number are free. Once you decide you can even get a samples to try out. Good Luck!

It's only paint...so you can do it again if you don't like your first choice. I am envisioning a very pale shade of sage green...or whatever a fav color is for you! Post it when you do it, please!
