What vine as there are many?
If what you have is a trumpet vine, here's a link that helped me:

Good luck!
As the link says, be very careful where you plant this. I have it coming up all over my backyard, even as far away as 50 feet from the main plant. Very invasive, I am constantly pulling it out. I would never plant it again.
I had read all kinds of warning about trumpet vine but decided to plant it anyway. I put a metal framework for an awning over my patio and put in just 2 plants at the poles leading out to the backyard. I spent time almost daily training the vines up the poles and making strategic cuts to make them branch out.
I did already have a well established perennial garden prior to planting the vines so I never had any issues with them invading any area of my garden! Within 2 years the vines were extensive enough that not only could I sit on the patio and have hummingbirds feeding within 18" of me, they also built a nest next to my favorite chair!
