You will need 3 clay pots of stair step size, one flat bowl, an old small outdoor light and switch, OR a canning jar turned upside down with hole in lid, a light with a switch and plug on it made for crafts such as this. Clean and glue all the pots. I like clear Gorilla glue for terra cotta use, stack according to the photo and paint with out door paint. String the light through the hole in the jar and all the pots (you may need to enlarge them slightly for the wire to feed through them), enjoy! see photo of one example. Some people like to put a large flat bowl at the bottom and fill it with small gravel stones. I could not find the one I made in my computer files, but these two are very similar except I used a jar and a top from an old ceiling fan decor on the top.
I can't wait to see how yours comes out! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/clay-pot-lighthouse-29301866
