Are you using to type of commercial cleaner for induction ranges? It should be like Soft Scrub, a soft paste. You don't want to scratch the stovetop, but if the black marks were made by using the wrong pans or pans with stained bottoms, the marks may need several times of cleaning. Use very fine steel wool on the bottom of the pans before you cook with them again. If there are circles or coils on the pans, follow the circles with the steel wool. Best wishes 😇

Sounds like you've tried several ways with no luck. I would recommend buying a house hold steam cleaner unit. Since I bought one I use it for most everything in my home. It does wonders on my stove from top to bottom including the inside of the oven.

Get yourself the proper cleaning kit for your stove by speaking to staff at an appliance store or in that department in home improvement stores. Once you get the right kit, all should come clean unless something melted on the surface. Sometimes those become permanent.

My smooth top electric stove had black marks from a boil-over. I attempted to clean it with the cleaning kit that came with the stove (similar to Soft Scrub) and a plastic scrubby, but I subsequently had to use a SOS pad.

I've tried scrubbing with a mix of vinegar and baking soda. It works pretty good but I do still have a few marks left.

If this is a glass topped stove, you can pour a little ammonia directly on the black stain, leave it there overnight and it should loosen whatever is burned on.
