Is Creeping Charlie in your lawn a good thing or a bad thing?
Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
Take an old plastic two liter bottle and cut the top off about 3 inches down to make a funnel. Then fill the remaining jug with a couple inches of water. Next add anything with a smell (catfish bait, cat food etc...) just a small amount will do. Finally add two drops of dawn and place funnel inside jug with neck pointing down. The bottom of the funnel should be a couple inches above your water mixture. Best wishes!
Recycled soda bottle trap.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxSn5Hv-xXU
place what ever trap you make FAR away from your out door recreation area -- you want to draw the flies away ... and you don't want to smell it!! Do you know what is attracting them to your yard to begin with?
Use (double-faced) carpet tape, be creative and place mobiles (created using the tape, exposed on both sides, with any handy items..I have used hangers, small dowels, string and fishing line) and place/hang in problem areas.
In south carolina, you will see plastic zip lock bag with water and pennies in it. Keeps flies away. Usually hung by the door. Why it works I have no idea.
