HOW TO CONTROL LINDEN GALL MITES:
http://homeguides.sfgate.com/control-linden-gall-mites-78166.html
If it is gall mites affecting your plants, they don't really cause harm to your tree so it's not something to be too worried about.
If its in your yard it is most likely getting to much nitrogen and not enough Calcium. Applly some calcium and get the soil back in balance and as sooon as the tree starts taking up the calcium your problem will most likely go away and many more benefits will be seen. Good luck and happy gardening.

it is a gall which is just insects laying their eggs on the leaves. I guess spraying the tree might help for it'll be a long-term project.
Mix one tablespoon of dawn dishwashing liquid with one gallon of water then spray. Don't spray when it's too sunny. I use it on my rose bushes, it works.
