i have heard mothballs also know they sell some products that are said to deter snakes good luck
Peppermint oil works well. Spray around the perimeter of your property, needs to be reapplied after rain.

f you have so many snakes to be bothersome, you must also have a LOT of critters (insect or mammal) for the snakes to feed on. Consider that the snakes are ridding your flowerbeds and porch of vermin! The snakes will go elsewhere when their feed source is gone. Leave the snakes ALONE!!!
I heard that moth balls will work, but I don't have snakes. You could give it a try.
