Sit it in your bathroom if room permits for towels or magazines. Use in another room to display quilts. Hand from the ceiling to make a drying rack for flowers.
Make a child's bookshelf by adding a 10" deep board to each rung, then mounting on the wall. If you need it sideways, just attach the boards from rung to rung.
Use it as a pot rack with a chain to let it up and down.
Hang it in the garage with big hooks to hold water hoses and long tools. Put another big hook on the handle of the tool to make hanging possible. Hang it high enough to give you some floor space underneath.
