What is the flooring, carpet, vinyl, laminate, marble?
First, do NOT steam clean old carpeting. The sub floors in older manufactured/mobile homes are basically particle board. I suggest replacing the flooring with 5/8" plywood then consider installing hardwood flooring or vinyl flooring. Carpet in bedrooms is a personal choice. Remember, do it right the first time and you will save yourself a lot of money in the long run, not to mention stress. Best of luck.
I agree whole heartedly with Diana . The floors put in mobile homes , especially older ones, is some of cheapest quality I've ever seen .
