If they are Horn Worms, pluck with your fingers, drop into soapy water solution; if they are small and 'fuzzy'' or have 'spines' shake leaf into the jar - or wear gloves. the Horn worms are the larva of the Sphinx/Hummingbird moth.

  • Hornworms most likely. They must be disposed of properly otherwise they will eat your entire garden. I just pluck off with my fingers and toss in my green waste bin. If that is to freaky for you, use gloves or buy a pair of dollar store tongs and use that instead - make sure to label for garden use so it doesn't end up in your kitchen!

I get those little green worms on my hibiscus every year , never any of my other perennials . I end up spraying them with Eight spray . Like Seven dust (spray) . When I first see the little buggers I pull off the leafs they are on , the leafs are lace by that time anyway ! lol

Hello Gwen; I have these Buggers!!! I kill mine with a mixture of:

Water, Dawn dish soap, and I boil the hottest peppers that I can find.

I save that pepper water and add to the soap and water mixture.

I use two cups of pepper water, to two cups of water, and four Tablespoons of dawn soap.

Spray all over the green horns worms. Spraying, after it rains.

I hope that this helps you!!!!! Take Care!
