Fingernail polish remover. The acetone will break down the old paint like a charm. One of my favorite pair of jeans got yellow paint on them when I painted my kitchen cabinets almost 9 years ago. I tried all kinds of stuff and gave up. Then, when I was cleaning up a pedicure that went south when my labrador came bounding into the bathroom, I used the polish remover on a Q tip and tried it on the yellow stripe. Figured it wouldn't hurt at this point. I'll be darned if it didn't get right to it! :)
Hi Diane,
it depends a little on the type of paint and on the fabric, but in general the following should help:
use a wet cloth dab the fabric with until the fabric is wet. Saturate the paint stain with Isopropyl alcohol. Use a brush to gently scrub the stain until the paint is no longer visible.

It depends on whether the paint is oil or latex. Acetone will take out latex as will using that orange hand cleaner. Paint remover will work on oil paint.
Hello Diane; This is the method that I use.
Get a cloth wet with water.
Dab the paint with the wet cloth until the fabric is wet.
Then, saturate the paint with Isopropyl alcohol.
I then wash, and hang to dry.
Repeat, if it does not get out all of the paint!
I hope that this helps you!!!!!!! Take Care!
