The only natural way to kill the vine is to cut it way down and use rock salt,or epson salt,however if there are any other trees ,shrubs etc. the salt will kill them as well
If you happen to live in the country....goats love poison ivy.
Vinegar is what my friends and I use. Suit up, cut down to ground drown in vinegar. Will need to be repeated after each rain.
If you use the vinegar dish soap and salt are still needed
go to the doctor to get the shot

Vinegar and salt mixture kills unwanted weeds, not sure if it will kill
poison ivy, but worth a try.
3 cups white vinegar
1/2 cup table salt
1 tablespoon liquid detergent or soap (I use Dawn) for stick-to-itiveness.
