You will have to remove the hinges that hold the doors and then you can paint the doors and when done you will have to attach the doors to their hinges.

Depending on how old they are , there should be a slot in one of the tracks . You just maneuver the wheel that the door slides on or rolls on and pull the door through the slot ,, hope this helps !
theres a pin on top of the door that runs in a track. you may be able to push down on that pin with your finger to swing the door out to get to the hinge, remove the screws the door is free.
The top roller and pivot pin are spring loaded. Open the door. Grab the door on the sides about midway. Push the door up and the lower pivot pin will clear it's bracket. Tilt the bottom of the door out and off the top track.
Most bifold doors are in tracks and can be lifted up and swung out from the bottom. (Most of these doors have adjustable heights either at the bottom or at the top hanging.) The track on the top a probably has a notched out space to work the door out of the track as you lift it up. -- If unsure you could go to your local store like Home Depot or Lowes and seek information from the person over the department the bifold doors are in. -- Once you get the doors out to prepare to paint...you may want to remove the hinges like Peg stated above.
You may have to remove the pelmet and unnnscrew the doors . Part dismantle!
William has the right idea.
There’s a springy thing at the top in the track. Squeeze it downward and the door will release from the track at the top. You should be able to tip the whole thing out easily after that.
