Tina Marie, since its leather I'd ask a dry cleaner, but if you want to try it i have couple suggestions...1 take paint brush and paint it w hydrogen peroxide let sit for few, blot gently check it repeat if needed. 2 use a "slightly" dampened mr clean sponge go w knap of leather, rub gently, blot to absorb stain and dampness. Good Luck. Hope it works for you.

@Debby Adding a liquid to the stain will just push it further into the leather. Start with a dry brushing and vacuuming, and see how much comes out.

A shoe repair store might also be able to help.

I'd start with a wire suede cleaning brush (in shoe care kits at Target) and see if u can loosen it and brush it out. Then a good vacuuming with a nozzle that concentrates. If it's a greasy stain, I'd brush or rub some cornmeal into it, and leave it overnite, then wire brush and vacuum it. If all all else fails, I'd take some Dawn and add a couple drops to a dish of warm water and whisk it until it makes foam. Then take just the foam on a white sponge and press it into the stain, and then rub with a white towel to see if that lifts it. You should see some color on the towel if it's coming up. I'd never fully wet any leather, but trying things on the dry boot is safe. It got there when it was dry, and now you are reversing the process in a gentle and leather-friendly way

@Gayl Great reply. I've forgotten the many uses of dry cornmeal for cleaning. When I was very young, my parents used cornmeal in a pillow case to gently clean our cashmere and angora sweaters, gloves and hats.

If all else fails try toothpaste and a toothbrush!
