Yes, go to Home Depot and they would tell you what to buy or you can get CLR there are several different types of it so make sure you get the right one and /or vinegar, baking soda, and dawn. Spray on and let stand for about and hour sub and repeat if necessary.
There are products out there that you can use to paint your tub but they are epoxy based...there isn't a paint that will work...unless maybe a marine variety not sure how it would work on an acrylic tub the epoxy may have a chemical reaction to the acrylic...not advised hope that helps
Before you paint your tub, try giving it a good scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend. Its commonly available at supermarkets and places like WalMart/KMart near the scouring powders like Comet or Ajax.
There are also paint kits made specifically for bathtubs that you can get :)
