Use a textured paint roller to roll joint compound onto the walls. Let it dry then paint it as you like. You can also use a small trowel to smooth out the texture slightly before it dries if you like a bit smoother look.

I've used a very fluffy, thick nap roller to apply paint to a textured wall and it looked great.

Depending on how much texture you want you can add a sand like additive to your paint and roll it on. There is also a knock down texture which I like. Here is a link for that.

Start on a back corner or call a professional. Just from your few words, I fear you have set an extremely high bar for yourself. Spackle would generally be applied to the wall, allowed to cure, then painted over. Many people with highly textured walls are sanding them down today -- the texture is uncomfortable and sometimes not safe to rub against when you are just walking down the hall. One of the trending textured paints today is chalk paint, homemade or commercial, but there are many, many types of textured paints to use. Best wishes 😇

I only have my two cents to add: be so sure the spackle is 100% completely dry! I learned this from experience. Give it more time to dry then you first planned. I did swirled textures on my wall, by the way. But I had to do it over because I painted over before the spackle had completely dried! Good luck!
