How do you "re-make" an old clock

The clock looks OK but it needs new insides or can I do something else with it?

you can buy new clock insides. If you are unsure of what to buy, take your clock with you.

Hi Michelle, Just today I was at Wal Mart and saw clock kits ranging from 3 to 10 dollars. Another idea is to paint the face of the clock with chalkboard paint. Instead of the usual numbers, you could write things like nap time, bath time, lunch time, etc. using regular clock mechanism on the inside. A fellow Hometalker made one and it was super cute.

I just made a new clock , all you need is to buy the clock gear which is really not expensive and replace the parts- best of luck!!!

I know Michael's sells clock mechanisms for a couple of dollars. If you want to use as a clock, simply replace the movement box.

Oh yeah, if you really like the face & want to do a remake, depending on size, turn it into a small table. Just strip the electronics, add some fancy legs and presto an ultra original corner table!

clockkit.com. Has everything for small clocks to grandfather clocks. Prices seam to be reasonable.
