You can use a small trench with landscape bricks in it then you have more space to prevent the Bermuda
Hello Sandy, You could use bricks, pavers or even large rocks to create a boarder around your flower beds. You could also use a flat shovel and make the boarder without the stones. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
I used the hammer-edge border from Amazon. Here's the product info: Dalen Products E3-16B Gardeneer Edge Pound-In Garden and Landscape Edging. You hammer these into the ground (preferably after a hard rain). These are incredibly strong.

To be honest, I haven't found anything that will keep burmuda grass in check. Since it is spread by stollens it can go under, over and through just about everything. I've been trying to dig it out and have found roots 12 inches underground, not even Round-up kills it down to the roots. That being said, if you are vigilant you can keep it under some kind of control. Do try a deeply dug metal edge like Susan suggested
