What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?

You can begin by purchasing a vertical gardening container which will be already set up for pots. Once that's done, go to a good garden center or nursery to look at succulents. Each should have a tag on its care.
Most of the ones I've seen have a layer of dirt covered by a layer of moss held in by chicken wire, with the succulents stuck in through the holes. Be careful not to give them to much sun, they can sunburn!
Is this going to be indoors or out?
I am trying to find sources to buy the beautiful succulents(not everydayat grocery stores etc) but exotic ones. Some sources are in other language andI can't get translate. Have been to nurseries but they only have the usual. Can buy from sources but they are seeds. Taking chances with that!
