Mow the opposite direction every week
Doesn't it "fluff out" after a day or so? Mine has "tracks" too right after mowing but then a good water and the next morning it is fine. Maybe try growing a different type of grass?
If your lawn is soft and moist this may be unavoidable. Cut when dry, check the height of the blade, keep the cut height short in summer. If this does not help, your machine may be too heavy for the softness/dampenss of your particular lawn.
Get some kraft paper, newspaper, paper bags whatever you have laying around and trace the frame size on the paper and cut it out. Be sure to number the picture and the piece of paper. Use some painters tape and arrange the frame patterns on the wall until you decide which you like best then you can hang them.
If you are talking about ruts, pull a roller filled wth water behind your lawn mower after a rain to soften the ground.
Mow in 4 different patterns
I was always taught not to mow when the ground is wet and to mow in circular patterns around the yard instead of rows back and forth . I have never had ruts in my yard .
Golf courses mow their grass so short there is no grass of any height to leave tracks. Also, they keep it watered and mow a lot, so it does not die. To make your grass pleasing, you mow in a pattern. Some mow a diaganol pattern. The key, you lift or stop your blades from mowing until you turn around. I have seen the diaganol on large grounds. When younger, my husband use to mow in straight lines-- all going same direction. It looks really good when done right. You may find pics of what I mean on net. Try manicured lawn pics.
