Clean the wall and note if it has been treated with a sealer. Unless you are using chalk paint, you need to sand the sealer enough to have a roughened surface for the new paint to stick to. You need to seal the top layer and distress it if you wish. Best wishes 😇
They make paint specifically for metal. Prime, then paint like you would a wall.
I would use Hammerite on it, it comes in a whole range of colours, also in spray-paint.

@CherylEmery. I'm very curious about how you came to have a corrugated iron wall. If you have rust you want to get rid of, you'll be doing a lot of sanding. And check out Rustoleum's line of paints and sealers. If there is a patina you want to show off, look at glazes or light stains and sealers. You have so many options. 😇
Spray it with Rustoleum paint. It comes in loads of colors and finishes.
Can you post a picture of the wall so I can help you better.

Before I would try sanding all of the rust off, (especially on corrugated) I would rent a sand blasting unit and do it with that.
