Your best option is to dye those spots. Cut a carpet fiber from inside a closet to take to store with you. Remember that the closet fiber will be darker than your carpeting in a room (No sun fade or wear) and that your carpet is already orange when choosing your dye.

If you need help, take an orange fiber as well, or a picture. Go to your local fabric store and see if you can get help.

It is basically a bleach stain, so possibly some liquid fabric dye in the same shade, but it won't just go away or be covered.

  • I would find sharpies lighter than the color of the carper and just "color" them. I have done this and it generally holds till I have the carpets cleaned.

Keep the dye only on the orange areas or the original color will be darker.

We cut out and patched some spots in the living room (when you get carpet save some of the larger scraps - you paid plenty for those!).

Here are some good instructions on patching.

Yep I've done repairs with permanent markers. The challenge is finding the right color. Dollar Tree sometimes has the colored ones.
