How to remove weeds and bad grass from a San Augustine lawn
Weed and feed will remove some weeds but not crab grass, Johnson grass and other weeds.
That was where it killed the weeds! or you did not spread it evenly. Dig up and /or re-seed
Could be a number of factors. Weed and feed needs to be applied and watered down properly to avoid burning the grass instead of feeding it. Too much could have been applied in those areas or not enough water. Just leave the patches alone and make sure they ger ample water and the grass will come back onits own. Or purchase spot treatment grass seed.
We had cinch bugs in our lawn.....extension office said to spray with Sevene....You can try reseeding your spots and see if that works. Just mentioned the cinch bugs because they eat the roots of the grass and make brown spots.
Wait until the fall, remove the dead patches, apply top soil, seed for your area, starter fertilizer and peat moss, keep moist until the seed germnates
