Hi Rachael, No, you will not see the seams. They make the the faux brick panels so they attach like stepping stones. Never straight down. There is not really a pattern although I think you can cut them to create one. My cousin did this in her house and it looked real nice. Best of luck to you.
The seams hide in the design
, If it is not already pre-cut, to make it look natural if fixing more than one you have to cut around bricks to make a natural line like a Jigsaw, otherwise you will be able to see at a glance they are not real. Yes you have to match the line of bricks too......Or if you don;t want to go to that trouble buy Real Brick Slips and stick them individually to the wall, to make your own pattern. Or, Buy Brick Wallpaper.
Yes on both counts. Hanging a picture at eye level over the seam helps to distract from the seam, but not completely.
