probably not - RustOleum makes a paint specifically for Laminates - be sure to follow directions to degloss
No> it will not hold up. Rustoleum and Giani have countertop paint kits at the big box stores.
I would not. Read the information on the back of the can. The paint may not bond with the Formica tops. You will left with a mess to clean and still have to buy the proper paint for you counter tops.
noooooooo. spend the couple hundred bucks ( if you have a standard sized kitchen) and use the rustoleum kit(s). let it cure for a couple of weeks . you wont regret it.
I wouldn't. They make special adhesion paints for use on Formica.
Thank you! I knew you all were going to say that.
It would probably peel. I think that Rustoleum makes a paint for counter tops.
I used a white primer on mine, then used acrylic paints to paint veins in grays to look like carrera marble. I then covered with Envirotex-lite, a very strong epoxy protective layer which gives it shine. It turned out great, and is holding up well.
