White Cabinets Painted to Look Like Wood
I would first fill the scratches with wood filler or clear paintable caulk if the scratches are deep enough and visible once you paint it. Once dry, I would use fine sandpaper to even or smooth it out. Then you can repainted it.
You can also use contact paper that looks like wood grain.
you could lightly sand your floor add a stain and poly dealer it would then have a distressed look. Very fashionable right now.
Nancy, I saw that you finished your question elsewhere, and you're looking for the appearance of wood but with greater durability and moisture resistance. Have you considered wood-look tile? It comes in a variety of colors to mimic different wood varieties and stains.
