Vacuum out as much gunk as possible. Then if you have a steam cleaner, use that along with an old toothbrush and a pile of q tips. If not, geta can of WD 40. Wipe out with paper towels, q tips and toothbrush. Vinegar will work well too, but wipe out well, you do not want any sort of acid to remain on the metal tracks. I vacuum mine out regularly and get a good cleaning once a month or as needed. I have a lot of furry pets, lots of hair magically gets trapped in there. 👍

after cleaning, don't use any oil products in the track instead use wax spray made for this purpose. It will not collect dirt or dust making it funky again. And the doors will slide wonderfully.
Try running wax across the tracks.
I take newspaper and run over the tracks first to clean out as much
dirt and dust as possible. I spray with lemon water and wipe out with
a soft cloth, using a Qtip to get in the tight corners. I take a tapered
candle and run in the tracks and along the edges and the doors work
fine! Vinegar water with a few drops of your favorite scent will keep
the doors sparkling!
