I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Boy, would I too love to know that!
In the garden you need to pull/dig it up, making sure to get all the roots that run from one plant to the next. I pull them about six inches outside of the garden, that way you can catch them at the edge of the garden when it is easy to pull before they take root. In the spring use a good weed and feed fertilizer or hire a company to do their thing all season.
You have to dig it up and stay dillegent, eventually you will stop it from spreading, stay at it and it will decrease, one day you will be rid of it. By the way, people buy it at yard sales for a house plant that is "guaranteed for the person without a green thumb", I know, my sister bought one! Dig it and sell it all you can! pot in cans, paper drink cups, anything you have left after use and sell it!
You need a dicamba based herbicide. Check at ACE hardware, they are knowledgeable and helpful
I have chosen to co-exist with it. The smell reminds me of my grandparent's house. Chemicals are not a choice because of the dogs. The most fun way is to grab a large handful and pull. You can get many feet of it up at one time.
Boraxo the cleaner works on getting rid of creeping charlie! It also kills the surrounding grass so try to sprinkle mostly on the weed.
I only do the below for major infestations. If you only have small amounts, just go at it and rake and pull it out. Repeat often and it will die out.
Rake it well with a good rake, gets rid of quite a bit. Leave it alone for about a week and hit it with a good weed spray (mecoprop, dicamba, and 2-4-d). Takes 3 days to wilt and a couple of weeks to be gone. If you see the odd piece you missed rip it out by hand,
For those people who have pets, keep them off it for a day.
We use WEED FREE ZONE we get at the hardware store, Kills that and other weeds, but doesn't hurt your grass. May have to use it each year as those Creeping Charlie seeds can fly into your from your neighbors,
Do you mean Virginia Creeper? Creeping Charlie is an indoor plant.
