All depends on where you live, materials used and labor rate. If not building yourself, make sure to pull a permit if required to do so. Get written estimates from a number of licensed contractors. Good luck! Then start planning your deck party. 😍
Usually a good contractor will charge double and some times even triple of whatever the materials cost. In other words, if your materials were $1000.00 for your deck then you can expect to pay $2000.00 to $3000.00 for labor costs. Decks are not cheap if you have to hire the work out. But if you can build it yourself, you can save a lot of money.
Hello Rosemary, Before replacing your deck, you should flip one of the deck boards over. If it's in good shape, just flip all the boards over and screw them back down. A lot of people replace their deck when they could actually use the other side. Best hopes for you. Good luck.
