plant marigolds
Yes,marigolds around your veggie plants is a natural and beautiful solution. They are kin to the citronella plant that naturally repels mosquitoes and come in a few different colors...mostly shades of yellow. They will reseed themselves or you can pinch off the seed pods after the flower dies to keep the seeds for next spring and to keep the fowers coming.
Strange that everyone says to plant marigolds to keep insects at bay ....but my marigolds always got eaten up by some bugs
Hello Pat, I have found marigolds to attract bees. Which is why people plant them around their garden. You need bees for cross pollination of your vegetable plants. I recommend that you use an insecticidal Soap on your cucumber plants. Best of luck.
