  • Any home improvement or nursery store will have what you need . Aloe and cacus will need the "cactus and succulent mix" and the ivy can just be potted in regular potting soil, although you can try in the cactus mix too. Here are some links for you.

We repot our aloe plant in potting soil from the local nursery at the department store. Be sure to put stones in the bottom for drainage and even some charcoal pieces if you have it to sweeten the soil as it ages.

aloe and ivy will do fine in just potting soil; i would use the "cactus soil" sold at the box stores for the cactus, but sandy loam would probably work.

Aloe is pretty resilient, I've used dirt from my yard to repot the little shoots, and they do just fine.

Hello Becky; This is my own, Personal 'Recipe' for repotting Anything!!

Mix together well in a large wheelbarrow or such:

Regular soil, Potting soil, Cow manure, Peat, and Composted material.

I use a larger pot, no matter what I am repotting.

Place some of the mixture in the bottom of the pot.

Add the plant. Add soil mixture.

I lightly fertilize, and water well.

I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!
