How do you get rid of sink/drain flies?
I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
Just a guess....maybe if you sprayed your screens with lots of Raid perhaps the smell would make them go away. Instead of the hassle of taking the screens out, if that is a hassle, spray from inside going to the outside perhaps with a low fan on behind you to keep the Raid from blowing in on you. Good luck.
Maybe if you sprayed the screens heavily with Raid and when they are dry the bugs may not like the smell on them. I would have a fan behind me facing the window I am spraying and just spray from the inside to out so don't have to take screens down. Hope it helps. We have love bugs, poor babies, that cover your car, get in the house, etc. Your problem sounds more irritating.
When we lived in Florida we had trouble with no-seeums coming through the screens. We sprayed the screens with Avon's Skin So Soft to keep them out. It worked pretty well and didn't smell so bad as bug sprays do. Worked real well on the screens on our tent when we went camping, too.
Are you talking about gnats? Try a mixture of blue dawn dish detergent mixed with water (2 tablespoons dawn and fill the rest of the sprayer with water) and spray away. Or you could just mix in a small bowl a tablespoon of lemon scented dish detergent and a little water and set it where they are. Bugs hate the smell of lemon!!!
Okay, well the good news is the lemon mix I spoke of worked very well with keeping all sorts of bugs away from my coach lights. Not one bug hung around! You'll be pleased. 😊
Great! Well, you'll be pleased to hear that the lemon mix I mentioned worked very well in keeping all sorts off bugs away from my coach lights. Bugs hate lemon scent!
Well, you'll be happy to hear that my lemon and water mixture kept bugs away from my coach lights when I put a small bowl of it by the ledge! It's all natural and doesn't cost much. I bought the Ajax Lemon scent dish detergent from the dollar store.
Well, you'll be pleased to hear that my lemon scented mixture kept bugs off my garage coach lights. It was a nice surprise to come home and not having bugs swarming all over my outdoor lights! I live by a huge forest preserve so I get a lot of bugs by my lights.
