Try thinning it with water, if it is on tile or stone flooring you can use a scrapper to get up the thicker spots before working on removing it all. Windex or something like that may help cut it.
To safely clean up ammonia drips or spills, simply use rubber gloves, hot soapy water, and cloth, rags, or sponges to wash it up and then give it a good rinsing. I do not know if there is any ammonia odor left right now but you will experience some when it gets wet again, until it dries up completely. There are products that will get rid of the ammonia odor that are listed in the link below. Thank you for asking Hometalk for answers, and good luck! :)

Open all the window and put a fan in one or doorway to exhaust room, wear a mask and kitchen gloves. Then use a big car sponge, and white vinegar. If its stubborn spray the vinegar onto the wall and let sit a minute. Vinegar neutralizes ammonia.
