Probably show where you placed the Glue,
Could you not reproduce same design on both sides , mind you, if you did do this project you might find it very irritating when you want to clean the window????
Hello Karleen; It would all depend on what you use.
If you wish to do this, it might be worthwhile for you to purchase a thin sheet of glass, and to glue the items that you wish to use on the piece of glass.
Hang it in a window and then decide how this will work for you.
Another example is if you used stained glass.
That could be seen from either side. It has a back side, but most people do not notice the difference.
Also, be aware that lighting will affect the piece greatly!!
I Personally have a stained glass window in one of my Bathrooms.
The backside faces a hallway. When I light this room, I do not need a light on in the hall, due to the lighting that comes through, as it is exceedingly beautiful.
I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!
Here, Karleen, is a good example of how beautiful it looks from the street side in spite of the fact that the sash is dividing the artwork in half:

You can see that the stones have a flat appearance from the outside, as opposed to their soft roundness from the inside, however they still have their beautiful colors and at night with light on inside, I am sure they are reflecting outward into the dark the same beauty they reflect wtih the sun shining on them to the inside of the room :) Hope this helps. Make sure you use glue that stands up to heat generated from sunlight or they may fall off!
I would apply them to the outside of the window with a glue like Gorilla Glue outdoor glue that dries clear. The alternative would be making a panel of glass that you could hang inside like a suncatcher with them attached.
Have you heard of Gallery Glass? It is a paint for glass which has a ton of different colors to choose from and they have strips that look like the lead they use between colors for stain glass. The product is easy to use and you simply use water to clean. They also have patterns for you to use. I love it
What were you hoping to achieve by adding ornament to the window,? Could you achieve the same effect by adding a window Cling, which is removeable?
Karleen; Yes. I believe that it would be a helpful option, to make a tester in this case.
I hope that it turns out well for you!!! Have fun and Take Care!
