Check your local paper or online used goods sites or even Craig's list.
Try calling a local fencing firm, and ask for some old fencing.
the county dump. Some cities have a program where hazardous items like paint and pesticides are removed and sold cheep. Same with fencing. my currant location has a composting and organic matter pile. Fall leaves get taken there as well. Occasionally old wooden fencing is deposited.

Habitat for Humanity Re-Store
Check your local Craigslist ads, newspaper ads, Habitat ReStore, and even your local dump. Sometimes people throw out fencing that can be reused. Also, check with your local fencing companies. Lots of times, when a homeowner buys a new fence, they pay the fence company to dispose of the old one...so they sometimes offer them for sale at a much discounted rate.
