Craigslist
I've had good success with Kijiji online.
Have an estate sale and let people come in to see the furniture. Also hire an estate sale manager because they know, and will advertise to, the high-end clients.
I have used consignment stores. Compare to see who can give you the most %. Some discount each month it doesn't sell, others don;t. This way you can move and they just send you a check to your new house.
You could list them for sale with pictures in your local Craig's list. This way you can sell them for what you'd like to get or near that price and the people who call already know what you want for them and they are still interested and want to look at them. When they do buy from you they will haul it home so you don't have to arrange or pack your furniture to be shipped to them.
Craig's List
Consignment shops or you can try Craig's list or Let Go. Most people coming to a garage sale are not looking to spend a lot of money thus the price
I am on Nextdoor - my neighbors seem to move a lot of nice items.
Look around for furniture resale places. I know in my area, there is one - you take a picture of your items and describe them best as you can in detail; they will do a little bit of research and then offer you a price. They resell them on their website and in their storefront. There are typically some "higher end" stores that offer more for better furniture. You might want to also check with local real estate folks -- they may have some resources for you with all the furniture they use for staging homes for sale. Good luck!
Craigslist and facebook groups seems to be a good way to help sell things
You could contact some local used furniture stores to come out and give you a bid.
I would recommend Craigslist and also an estate sale if you have people to help you. I would not hire a company, they just advertise to anyone who goes to any of their sales (I know cause I attend a lot of estate sales) I don't know what their cut would be but that is a good way to sell furniture and you can sell just about anything and don't have to move it. Right now I am wearing a beaded necklace I got Saturday for $5 and we bought an oil painting and I got two wool sweaters, and a dog figurine and silverware, a book.
Best way really to sell things is an estate sale.
I liked Southern Comforts Consignment. They did much better for us than the estate sale person. You send them a photo on email & they say y or n in 24 hours, photo each pic. By itself
Hi Maria,
As others have suggested, online sites can be successful. I buy and sell a lot of things on Offer Up. The application is free and uses your location to show buyers and sellers what's available in the area you live. (No, I don't represent them, I have quite a bit of experience in online sales and marketing). Good luck!
Check to see if there is a consignment store in your area., but charge you a percentage. We have one where I live and I've purchased very good quality furniture. Your furniture looks to be very good quality. Some companies also have closing home sales where they price articles and do the actual sale. But the people doing the sale take a percentage of the costs. Good luck selling your furniture and enjoy your new home!
Maria
There is an app called OfferUp that kinda like Craigslist is very safe and its in your area and it's so easy to do trust me, it walks you through 4 easy steps and cash and carry. This what it look like in the App Store.
Have you considered putting the goods in the hands of a trustworthy local auctioneer? A friend of mine's parents had a Georgian home with scads of antiques. She let her family pick what they wanted, but there was so much she used an auctioneer for the rest and got a very, very good price for the rest.
