I love purple! So, I planted a few Rosemary bushes in my backyard. It blooms and oh man I love the smell all over my yard plus I use it for cooking! When I trim it back I dry the trimmings and keep it in a jar for seasoning. I also pass some of it to my family and friends. I plant a lot of herbs in my yard. I try to plant plants I can use in my kitchen as it saves money!
Thank you all,
Butterfly bushes will grow in anything and take over if you don't keep them trimmed back. They sure are pretty though. If you're going for trees in that area crepe myrtle is your best friend and worst enemy. Blooms are beautiful, however place them in your yard away from and cement because their roots go on forever.
