1 gallon of water to 1 gallon of vinegar, add 1 cup of salt and 1/2 cup of dish soap. All for less than $5.00 total!
Weed Killer:
1 gallon vinegar (at least 5% acidity)
1 cup salt
1 tablespoon liquid dish soap
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle and spray weeds at the sunniest part of the day for the best results.
Just make sure it doesn't get on plants you want to keep.
I use white vinegar and water 50/50 in a spray bottle with a dab of salt and a dab of salt
Using vinegar is good, with or without water..NO SALT, it will ruin he ground for a long time.. canning vinegar is a bit stronger and works well..just spray the weeds only on a windless day..
I mix 1 cup of table salt with 3 cups of warm vinegar....Stir well until salt dissolves. The warm vinegar helps the salt dissolve. After the salt dissolves, add 1-2 squirts of dish soap. Stir lightly to mix in soap. Then, pour into a spray bottle or garden sprayer and spray all of your weeds. Be careful not to get this on plants, etc as it will kill them as well.
NO SALT; makes the earth barren! All you need is straight vinegar or plain boiling water. If you use the boiling water, you'll be able to pull the weeds up with 5-10 minutes and plant within 15. If you use vinegar, it may take a couple of days. Don't use more ingredients than necessary, and don't poison the earth.
For a healthy supply of this man-made concoction, mix a gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt, and one tablespoon of dish soap. Make sure it is properly stirred, then put the mixture in a spray bottle for easy use. You can stash the bottle in your house for repeated use.
