If it is cat urine, you will need an enzyme treatment especially for cats. They have crystal in their urine that permanently mark their territory which can only be removed that way. You have to completely soak the items or area they peed on which might be a problem for your cushions.

If dog and child, Use vinegar to clean. The acidic nature of the vinegar will help neutralize the smell and the antibacterial nature of vinegar will help to clean your couch.

I would get the powdered pet enzyme odor remover, and spray it on it, let sit then blot off with towels, and put a fan on it to make it dry faster. Of course this will only work with fabric that can be washed. https://www.amazon.com/Jackson-Galaxy-Stain-Eliminator-Fizzion/dp/B019YMYNR0/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1503338453&sr=8-4-fkmr2&keywords=jackson+galaxy+pet+enzyme+cleaner

If your sofa is like mine, the cloth covers on the seat can be unzipped and removed from the foam rubber. Take the foam outside and soak it well with the hose; squeeze out as much water as you can and let dry completely in the hot sunshine. If they still have an odor, do it again and spray with deodorizer like Odo-Ban. Let them dry completely.

Once the foam cushions are thoroughly dry, zip the zippers together on the covers and wash in cold water and vinegar (it will help set the dye). Put the covers back onto the foam while still partially damp and let dry completely outside. (Drying the covers in the dryer or letting them dry completely sometimes lead to shrinkage)

If the urine has been sprayed somewhere you cannot do all that (like on the arms or the back), then test Odo-Ban somewhere inconspicuous for color fastness and spray the stinky areas well, blotting off any excess. Let dry completely and the odor should be much reduced, if not gone completely.

Gently scrub with a lint free cloth, don't soak the cushion. If you can remove the cushions, lay them in the sun after you clean them to help with drying.
