A sponge mop works great on smooth ceilings. Wring it out super well so you don't have dirty streak marks or dripping cleaner!
Microfiber cloths work great on walls, glass, tile, countertops, wood trim , and appliances.
I am unfamiliar with carpet but I know you can rent a cleaner.
Vinegar is a great chemical free cleaner for most surfaces. I dilute mine 50/50 and use the cheapest vinegar I can find. You should avoid using vinegar on marble.
For walls and ceiling, a good chemical cleaner is TSP. It seems to remove anything!
Paint the Ceiling - Paper the Walls - Shampoo the Carpet and Polish or Wash the Tiles.
For the walls and ceiling you can use TSP. For tile floors I mix a bucket of simple green and water then use a scrub brush to clean all of the grout lines. Once that is done I take a old towel and wipe all excess cleaning liquid. Last I go over it with a steam mop. If you don't have a steam mop just mix more water and simple green and mop the whole floor. Simple green works well for cleaning grout.
Try Spray Power from Walmart. It cleans just about anything, patio furniture, walls, laundry stains. My sister moved into a condo where previous owner was a smoker. Used Spray Power on walls and they came out great. Good luck!
