Expecting fruit and trimming fig tree.

It takes about 5 years for fig trees to produce fruit so this may simply be a matter of just giving it some time.

Fig trees can take several years to set fruit. Mine took 4 years, a friend in Asheville, NC took closer to 6 years before they start to set fruit. Here is a link as soil is important and so is watering (for me as my climate is very dry and not enough water results in dry fruit.) I trim in "winter" and am attaching a few links for you with more info. I have 3 in my yard, they are great shade trees too!

I planted mine After having it in a container for a few years. It's now about 15 feet tall and I get so much fruit I can't can it all! I even share with the birds.

For figs to produce, plant 2 plants total. That way the blooms can be pollinated thus producing fruit

I removed our fig tree it was horrible for growing to tall to fast. a constant job to keep small enough to handle.. Ours had figs on the growth of last year. meaning, things I pruned this year would not bear fruit..It was sort of an even odd cycle of pruning. when done, prune the ones that had fruit this year, Since yours had no fruit. I'd prune 1/2 this year. Leave the remainder for next years fruit. After they have fruit, prune them and nothing else..
