Are we talking a porcelain-type bathroom sink? You can fill the crack and sand it down so it's smooth; if you want to completely cover it, you can use Rustoleum tub and tile to paint on a new finish.

You can have it reglazed. Not as expensive as you might think.
If its porcelain like a stove, there is a touch up paint that you can try. It's just called appliance touch up. Hardware store, Lowes, Home depot should have it.
