The first thing I would try is hydrogen peroxide. It will lighten the stain and if it's not too bad, erase it completely.
I have a lot of cats. You can remove set pee stains using water absorbing crystal polymers. These are sold as gardening supplies and are capable of absorbing up to 300 times their weight is liquid. Non-intuitively, pee stains in hardwood are actually still substantially liquid even after years. The first thing to try is to sprinkle the are liberally with the crystals and let them sit for a day or two. Often this will do the trick. If the crystals have been successful, you will have to scrape them from the floor with a plastic putty knife. If the stain is still there, treat the area with hydrogen peroxide and cover the treated area again with the crystals. Repeating these steps with almost always remove the stain. Really!
