Most hardware and garden centers have a solution you pore on them. One is called Stump Out.You may want to check labels to be sure the one you use is organic,so as not to pollute the ground and harm any critters. It composts the stumps faster than they normal would rot.The next would be to use a tractor or back hoe to pull them out. ✌
Don't DIY pulling the stumps out unless you want to be on America's Funniest Home Videos. Stump Out or termites will work over time, but both have possible unexpected consequences. Best wishes 😇
Drill holes in the stumps and fill the holes with epsom salts. The stumps will rot/ deteriorate more quickly and you can remove them
The best way but not the cheapest, hire a tree company, they have a special machine to ground down the stump. We had one done, this man knew how to do this right. Buzzed the stumps even with the patio. Depending on how many stumps you have the more money it's going to cost. Shop around by phone, and get a contract or something in writing as to how many are to be done. I think this is your best avenue of choice. You want your yard to look good, not half-*****. Good Luck!
Why not use them to Stand Pots of Flowers or Bulbs until nature takes it's course........
There are people who have the equipment to grind stumps. I hired a man to grind four tree stumps in my yard, two of which were large. After digging the soil away from the stumps, he ground every stump to several inches below ground level. It was fast and the price was reasonable. I spread the resulting ground wood in my gardens then filed the stump holes with soil and planted grass, leaving me one happy gal. Eventually, there comes a time in the life of every DIYer when you must hire someone to do a job.
